How do I extract text from an image?
Drop a photo, scan or screenshot, choose the text language and hit Convert. The OCR engine reads the text locally and you copy or download it.
How accurate is it?
Excellent on clean scans and screenshots of printed text. Handwriting and heavily stylized fonts are harder. That's an honest limit of on-device OCR.
Are my documents uploaded?
Never. The OCR engine you pick (Tesseract or a TrOCR neural model, both compiled to run in your browser) processes everything on your own device.
